This week: Boston, MA. In November: Argentina (Buenos Aires – Patagonia)

October 24, 2011

This week I’ll be in Boston for second time. I love Boston. For me that city mean “revolution”. That’s was my first feeling when I arrived the first time. It was like I can smell that feeling. That time I stayed in the city one night so I know that I don’t know the city, so this time, with four days, will be so different.

If you live in Boston or you have been there and wanna share some places that I must go to take photos, just let me know.

In November I’m going to Argentina to visit my family. I’m very lucky that I can go there every year, to see my eight nephews grow more every year and stay with my father and mother like if will be the last time. That’s the feeling that you have when you live 5,500 miles away from your parents.

Buenos Aires is where I was born and the city that I love. This time I’ll take more time taking photos, try to show this beautiful city that has everything, bad and good.

Also, I’m going to Patagonia, to visit my wife’s family. I has been in one of the more impressive place in the world, the Perito Moreno Glacier and maybe I’m going there again.

Stay tuned for new photos next week.

Thanks Fort Reno. See you next year.

Fort Reno was a great experience. I met new bands, new sounds and above all, very good people. Thanks Ron, Marty and Amanda. I’m still working on the photos, but I have between thirty and forty photos ready. I’m thinking some stuff to do with them (books, exhibition, printing, etc) but the main idea is to help to the Northwest Youth Alliance, the guys who organize the Fort Reno’s shows.

Also, I’m working on a new series, “Lights from…” using my new old camera, a Lubitel 166B. You can see two photos of this serie in my flickr. All the photos are in B&W on 120mm.

New project: Fort Reno 2011

July 21, 2011

Three weeks ago I started working on a new project that perhaps in September will be over.

For over 40 years Fort Reno Summer Concerts have been held at Fort Reno park in NW DC; and in that time we’ve been host to hundreds of bands. Shows are held twice weekly and usually run from mid-June until mid-August at Fort Reno Park in Northwest DC.

Music is my main inspiration. My idea is to show all the bands that play at these concerts and the athmosphere that prevails in these shows.
